Hi, I’m Ashley Ford. I am a LCPC and Maryland Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor based on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). I am a Maryland Board approved supervisor. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. I have experience working with adolescents, adults and couples. I specializes in working with adults with anxiety, mood disorders, co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders, as well as helping new parents as they navigate mental health during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I have been a therapist for 10 years, 14 years working in the mental health field and have been supervising interns and LGPCs since 2023. I have experience working in mental health agencies, addictions counseling centers and private practice.

My Approach

It all begins with a goal: becoming a licensed clinician in the state of Maryland. You’ve spent years and long hours working towards your goal. My goal is to help you become the best clinician that you can be.

My supervision style is developmental, relational, and strengths-based. I aim to create a supportive, reflective space where clinicians feel both challenged and encouraged as they grow in competence and confidence. I view supervision as a collaborative process that integrates clinical skill-building, ethical decision-making, and exploration of the therapist’s use of self.

I tailor my approach to the clinician’s stage of development, offering more structure and direct guidance for newer clinicians, and shifting toward a more consultative and reflective style as independence and clinical judgment strengthen. I prioritize safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based care, and I take a more directive role when risk management or professional standards require clear guidance.
